A henna-style tribal dragon claw, is tattooed on her right hand. Rihanna`s ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, has the same tattoo on his right hand. It features a geometric dragon claw with a small hibiscus that goes up to her wrist. The tattoo was done in the traditional style of the Maori people in New Zealand, while she was on tour there in 2008. She told reporters that it was tribal, representing strength and love. She had always wanted one and it hurt like hell. Rihanna has many intricate tattoo designs including tiny stars running down her neck and onto her back, a Pisces sign behind her right ear, outline of a star inside left ear, music notes on her foot. Rihanna also has a personal motto `Never a failure, always a lesson` that appears below her right shoulder, it reads backwards, so she can read it in the mirror.
