Depp has a crow tattoo on his right hand. The crow headdress that he wore as Tonto in `The Lone Ranger.` was down to Depp himself, who was inspired by Kirby Sattler's striking painting, `I Am Crow.`
On his left hand is large flash or inserted Z - it first appeared in May 2012, after he became an adopted member of the Comanche Indian tribe.

He shares 4 tattoos with his friend Damien Echols, who served 18 years on death row in the US after being wrongly convicted of killing.

Johnny also had a tattoo that said `Winona Forever` on his upper right arm, as this lady love came and went, he subsequently had it changed to read `Wino Forever`.
