In 2014, her net worth was estimated at £45 million, making her the wealthiest British musician under 30 years of age. Awarded an MBE for services to music in 2013.

Relationships: Her partner is Simon Konecki (since 2011) a charity entrepreneur . Their son Angelo Konecki was born in 2012.

Siblings: Adele is an only child, raised single-handedly by her mother, after her Welsh father left when Adele was just two years old.

Her albums include: Her first album '19' was released in 2008. A second album called '21' followed in 2011. Her eagerly awaited third album, rumoured to be called '25' is expected to be released in 2014.
Adele was first offered a recording contract by XL Recordings, after a friend posted one of her demos on Myspace in 2006. Both her albums were certified platinum in the UK and US many times over. Her second album has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide and included her classic songs: 'Rolling in the Deep', 'Someone Like You' and 'Set Fire to the Rain'.
Adele's '21' is the fourth best selling UK album of all time, after Queen, The Beatles and Abba. She has received numerous awards, including six Grammy Awards in 2012, BRIT Awards for Best British Female Solo Artist and British Album of the Year. In 2012, Time magazine named Adele, one of the most influential people in the world. In 2013, she received an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award, for Best Original Song for her song 'Skyfall', written for the James Bond film with the same name. The hauntingly beautiful song even moved tough guy Daniel Craig to tears, the first time he heard it! The song has been played on Youtube more than three hundred million times wow!

Adele has been singing since she was four, she has admitted being influenced by the Spice Girls, Dusty Springfield, Ella Fitzgerald (for vocal acrobatics), Etta James (for passion) and Roberta Flack (for control). She graduated from the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, Croydon in 2006. Her classmates included Leona Lewis and Jessie J. Her original intention was to go into Artist and Repertoire, to find and launch other talented careers. Adele supports several charities, Keep a Child Alive, Save The Music Foundation, Pride, London, MusiCares and the UK charity Sands. When on tour, Adele requires all backstage visitors to donate to Sands.

In 2011, she cancelled two tours, due to a vocal-cord haemorrhage. She had laser microsurgery on her vocal cords in November 2011 at a US hospital. Adele recovered to make a live return at the Grammy Awards in Feb 2012. Despite being loved by her fans all over the world, Adele is known to be very camera shy and it reported to have sought help to overcome it.
